Most Memorable Episodes: What’s Happening!
For the record, I had a HUGE crush on Dwayne.
5. The one where that guy robs Raj and Rerun’s apartment around Christmas and keeps saying “Right…right…gotcha.”
4. Rerun becomes a page at NBC and dreams that the gang is the cast of Three’s Company, Mork and Mindy, and other random 70’s era shows.
3. The Doobie Brothers concert episode where Rerun takes in a tape recorder. Still not sure why 3 black kids from the hood were into the Doobie Brothers and not Earth, Wind, and Fire or something.
2. The “No Roger, No Rerun, No Rent” Episode (especially when that bald Asian dude goes “No Roger, No Rerun, No Rent…TURKEY!).
and the number one fave:
1. “Bubblin’ Brown Sugar” on the Gong Show with that girl with that tooth!

this is the most amazing thing i’ve ever seen.
long live the colored race!
“No Roger No Re-run, No rent!!!” fueled many a summer morning in the family room. and didnt everyone have a crush on Dwayne? with his fine ass self…hmph! i wonder where he is now…(hint hint)
I don’t want anyone splitting their risks if Thembi can’t find Dwayne, if you need a fix, What’s Happening…Now! comes on TV Land at 7am. You don’t have to thank me.
Whats Happening…Now! Most Memorable Episode: “Oh yes, they’re here, Dream Team is here, Oh yes…”
love that episode of whats happening now thembi…..oh yes they’re here……ginneh dont know nuffin bout that!!! my personal favorite whats happening is the bridgeburger….first u take a piece of meat then u shove it in a bun……
Then you guys would love this shirt…
Dwayne was totally hot in What’s Happening, but in What’s Happening NOW, he was kinda dorky with a mullet! WTF.
Also, have you noticed how Dee looks TOTALLY bored on the last season of What’s Happening? Just rollin through the lines… God, i love that show!!!

Police Sketches of Black Dudes
By Thembi Ford on September 26, 2007
Police sketch artist drawings of black people are notoriously poor and rarely look like anyone in particular. I’m convinced that when asked to describe the suspect, witnesses just describe the last black male they saw, even if they last saw a black male on television. So I did a little Thembi-style experiment by going online and digging up dozens of sketches of black suspects to see just who the strong arm of the law is looking for.
