Obama went to Princeton for undergrad and Harvard for her law degree, which the academic snob in me loves, of course. Unlike so many potential and actual first ladies, she has a REAL job as Vice President for Community and External Affairs for the University of Chicago Hospitals (although right now she’s working on the campaign). She talks to her husband like a real woman should – not like shes some media-driven puppet, and not like she’s some black female
nut-crusher. I was so impressed when she put a crackdown on his cigarette smoking and then sensibly lamented the possibility of his assassination – all on national television. She’s like velvet steel. I would love to see someone like Michelle
Obama become president. In fact, if there were a country just for
bougie-but-down black girls, she would be.
Condi, please take notes on her hair because this is how grown women rock a perm.
