Roboho and the Perminator

Is it harder to prioritize when you need a touch-up?
I try to stay away from being preachy about these things, but I have a bone to pick with Al Sharpton. He’s been attacking website TMZ for referring to Beyonce’s outfit on the BET Awards as “roboho.” I think that’s a pretty funny characterization of that mess that’s she’s wearing and she knew she was going to get eaten up by the media when she shimmied into that thing. The reality is that shes wearing skintight metal, people. But then Al says:
“Calling any woman a “ho” is demeaning and abusive and it should not be tolerated on any level. It is intolerable to think that TMZ.com would find humor in calling Beyonce – someone who symbolizes the strength, dignity and uplifting of Black women — a “Roboho,” and they should be denounced by the entire community for glorifying the continued oppression of women with this derogatory term. “
Beyonce symbolizes strength, dignity and uplifting? Are you serious? Does she not have a knee-length blonde weave? Does she not gyrate and banana-skirt dance every chance she gets? I have never been a Beyonce hater because I wanna be her in a certain chubby-preteen-girl way, but lets face it. She’s not very smart, she’s not very black (didn’t she used to be kind of browner-skinned and have braids?), and as for dignity … I can’t even touch that.
Al Sharpton needs to be checking in on what other BLACK people are doing instead of jumping on the mainstream media every time the word ‘ho’ is used. Let’s get down to the BET offices and make them stop working with KFC or keep the show “Hot Ghetto Mess” from premiering. All he’s doing is reinforcing the idea that the word ‘ho’, as negative and unecessary it is, is only for black women, and last time I checked there are plenty of white and Asian hoes out there to be had. Am I right?

He needs to worry about Sean Bell or Shaquanda Cotton or Stepha Henry. I could go on and on.
