The Week’s Best Photos
I subscribe to Jet magazine, so every week I get a 5″x7″ collection of black news, most of which is 2 weeks late but some of which can ONLY be found in Jet. I saw this picture of Al & Star online a while ago but didn’t bother commenting until I saw that a black magazine had the nerve to consider THIS one of the “Week’s Best Photos.”
I really like Star Jones, I think that she looks as fabulous as can be managed, and I’m sooo over the “Al Reynolds is totally gay” thing so I won’t bother gossiping about that. But Al…if this is your coming out ensemble please make it official. It’s not even gay anymore, it’s as if he went full circle through gay and ended up a Danish choirboy who has never touched his own genitalia. That, or a bisexual version of Cab Calloway. Yes, he definitely needs his hair “conked” with this short set.

He stole this from the set of Janet Jackson’s “Alright” video. Back when Star Jones was Heavy D.
when I saw this a couple weeks ago I told my girlfriend that was the gayest outfit I’d ever seen (and I live in San Francisco)….he looks like Ritchie Rich.
So what do you think? Please be respectful to other readers!

Police Sketches of Black Dudes
By Thembi Ford on September 26, 2007
Police sketch artist drawings of black people are notoriously poor and rarely look like anyone in particular. I’m convinced that when asked to describe the suspect, witnesses just describe the last black male they saw, even if they last saw a black male on television. So I did a little Thembi-style experiment by going online and digging up dozens of sketches of black suspects to see just who the strong arm of the law is looking for.
