He Pingping from Inner Mongolia, China’s autonomous region, the world’s smallest man sits on the lap of Svetlana Pankratova from Russia, the Queen of Longest Legs, as they pose at Trafalgar Square in London, Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008. Pingping, born with primordial dwarfism, holds the Guinness World Record for the smallest man at 74.61 cms (2 feet and 5.37 inches) and Pankratova holds the Guinness World Record for the longest leg of any woman at 132 cms (4 feet 4 inches) in length.

Thembi Says: I’m trying to figure out why I’ve posted so many times about dwarfs, and refuse to slow my roll on it – something about my adoration for little people just feels so right. I can’t help but notice that the name “PingPing” is about as diminutive as any word could ever get, leading me to believe that there’s something so meant to be about his lil’ self and his lil’ orange faux hawk being part of my world. Oh yeah, and the long legged Russian broad is ok too, I guess.

Police Sketches of Black Dudes

Police sketch artist drawings of black people are notoriously poor and rarely look like anyone in particular. I’m convinced that when asked to describe the suspect, witnesses just describe the last black male they saw, even if they last saw a black male on television. So I did a little Thembi-style experiment by going online and digging up dozens of sketches of black suspects to see just who the strong arm of the law is looking for.
