I loved it. Finally a show where the black people aren’t shuckin’ and jivin’. I really like the second episode where Chill was looking over the counter at chin level and being the most annoying brother ever! If ever a show deserved a chance this is one does.

But, will someone please get Stahan a veneer or extra tooth or something..??

And what happened to Carl Weathers?? He’s looking a bit weathered nowadays..I didn’t even recognize him.

I saw the pilot, and honestly, I wasn’t too impressed. There were few LOL moments, and a lot of the jokes (especially the disabled jokes) bordered on being unnecessarily and pointlessly mean. How long can the “wheelchair/gap tooth” banter really make it? The show’s premise alone just isn’t enough to keep me tuning in. It’s like Malcolm and Eddie 09′.

I will add it to Tivo Season Pass just on GP tho.

Interested in your take on another “black sitcom” of sorts, The Cleveland Show. What’d you think?

I would never have recognized Carl Weathers in a million years. But just knowing that someone who was instrumental with My Wife and Kids is working on this is enough for me. I still say that was the highest quality, wittiest black sitcom ever.

I saw half of the first episode, and I thought the show was just ok. Yes, Im happy to see a new Black show on the networks. Yes, I have liked some of the actors’ previous works, so I think theyll do a good job in this show. Yes, Im thrilled to see that Chill is working again, cause Lord knows being disabled is expensive as sh*t. But…I wasnt wowed.

I found a bit of the humor to be predictible. Especially the disabled jokes. And Im really tired, so thats about all I can think of now, lol.

I will check this show out again, cause it didnt completely turn me off. I do hope that it improves, though.
