“What The Eff?” Wednesday: You Betta Work!
Tampa, FL – A self employed female impersonator was arrested in Tampa at his home over the weekend after violating probation.
Records in Volusia County show that 24 year-old Charles Thomas was originally arrested by Volusia County deputies on Sept. 29, 2009 after he tried to buy two MP3 players and a T.V. at a Big Lots store near Orange City with a fraudulent check in the amount of $329. Deputies also arrested a co-defendant ,Christopher Hart for giving them a false name.
Court records show that Thomas pled no contest last month to grand theft and possession of an unauthorized ID card and was sentenced to two years probation. On March 19, a warrant was issued charging Thomas with a probation violation.
Thembi Says: I watch “RuPaul’s Drag Race” almost obsessively. It’s a great show filled with drama, cattiness, and straight up new information. RuPaul and the contestants are so entertaining and I’ve gained a whole new level of respect and understanding for female impersonation and all that goes into it. So I ain’t mad at Charles for chilling at home halfway in drag after having just violated probation and knowing the cops were probably on his tail. My problem is Charles’ general doing-too-much-ness with no ability to handle it all. Buying luxury goods with a fraudulent check and identity fraud are just the tip of the iceberg. This is a terrible eye look devoid of blending, she’s not going to get anywhere in life with that lip shade, and her jaw contouring is all off. And any good queen on the lam would at least grab a headwrap or have an emergency wig laying around just in case the police came knockin’. Sloppy stuff, Charles.
